I have always loved learning about people. Growing up, I was fascinated by the ideas, jokes, anecdotes, dreams, adventures and heartbreaks I heard from those around me.

In college I pursued my love through literature, and following that, I worked in the movie and television world, helping writers and directors tell their narratives. During that chapter, I realized the people themselves, and their own personal stories, were more compelling to me than a movie script or television show.

I still wanted to help people tell their stories, but in a different way. All of us have narratives. Therapy involves understanding our stories through conversation and shared examination. The exploration leads to deeper understanding of our feelings, relationships, wishes, fears, hopes, and losses and ultimately offers relief and growth.

I work with my patients to help them recognize how they, as individuals, feel, think and act. I help patients gain greater capacity to pursue what they need. This work can bring about a reduction of symptoms, changes to life and direction, becoming unstuck, realizing potential.
